Access
To ADORe: Use and Copyright:
Digital images in ADORe are largely surrogate representations
of real photographs, slides, drawings, sculptures etc. While
some images come from the public domain, and may be available
for use without further permission most digital images in ADORe
represent copyrighted works and should not be downloaded or
otherwise used without permission of the copyright holder.
Staff and Students of the School of Art and Design, AUT
Information and resources presented via ADORe are for teaching,
learning and research purposes by staff and students at the
School of Art and Design, AUT.
Many of the images in ADORe are copyrighted and are only available
under fair use educational access provision. Access and use
under this agreement is for education and scholarship only.
Commercial use of the contents of the Image Database, Virtual
Studio or ADORe websites is strictly prohibited. Any use of
the contents of ADORe other than the uses expressly permitted
under this agreement requires the written permission of individual
copyright holders and the AUT.
Publication of ADORe images in any form, such as in dissertations,
theses, personal and course web pages is not permitted without
the expressed written permission of the copyright holder. Papers
written in fulfillment of class assignments are not considered
publications. Full source information for images used in class
assignments should be acknowledged in footnotes, captions, or
bibliographies.
Information about the copyright holder or the copyright holder's
designee is provided in the Source Information field of each
image record. Please contact the vendor, donor, or publication
listed for information on reproduction rights. Because publishers
are often not the copyright holders of images, consult the publication
itself for information on ownership of individual images. If
there is insufficient information in the publication, consult
the publisher in order to contact the author or authors.
Public Access
As part of its commitment to the wider community, ADORe provides
public access to some visual and documentary resources, where
we have been given public access consents from the artist, designer,
lecturer, publisher or institution that hold the copyright.
Other material is from the public domain and is made available
as a shared resource for educational, research, scholarly, and
cultural institutions in order to encourage the development
and dissemination of cultural documentation. Any publicly accessible
material on ADORe is for personal research purposes only and
cannot be reproduced or used for commercial purposes.
Before accessing and browsing ADORe, you must read and agree
to abide by the terms and conditions of this copyright statement.
